Tasting Notes: Floral, Citrus, Honey
After tasting several lots from our friends at Primavera earlier this year, one coffee really stood out for its sweetness and texture: Mikiyas Bogale’s Idido operation in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia! Mikiyas inherited the washing station from his father in 2020 and works with local producers in the Idido area, which produces about 300 bags of coffee per year.
This is a new coffee station for us, and we’re so excited to bring back a classic natural-processed Ethiopian coffee while sharing a fresh story with our lineup. From this year’s Ethiopia, you can expect soft floral aromatics, syrupy honey sweetness, and a smooth, citrusy texture that continues to reveal itself as the cup cools. Lighter-roasted Ethiopian coffees like this one shine at lower temperatures, so take your time and savor the flavors as they develop in the cup!
